The Lot
TEGU FACTORY AB
This lot is fully washed, with cherries hand-sorted, floated, and depulped before undergoing overnight dry fermentation followed by a second fermentation under water. After thorough washing and soaking, the coffee is dried on raised beds with careful temperature control, including covering during peak heat and at night. The result is a clean, carefully processed lot with strong attention to consistency and quality throughout.
The Producers
Tegaku farmers' cooperative society
This lot comes from around 1,200 smallholder farmers delivering to the Tegu wet mill, part of the Tekangu Farmers Cooperative Society near Karatina. The mill is one of three operated by the cooperative, collecting cherries from farms across several nearby villages. At the station, coffee is centrally processed using careful sorting, fermentation, and raised-bed drying methods to maintain quality and consistency.
What is it?
Kenyan washing and grading
This lot follows the Kenyan double fermentation washed process, where coffee is fermented once after pulping and then again under water before extended washing and soaking. This differs from more conventional washed methods, which typically use a single fermentation and shorter washing stages, resulting in a cleaner, brighter cup profile.
The AB grade refers to the size of the beans, specifically a screen size between 15 and 16, indicating medium to large beans. This grading is based on physical size rather than quality, though it often correlates with consistent roasting and flavour clarity.

Roaster's Choice FAQs
Billing Cycles
Your subscription will renew on the same date that you signed up, every month. Your coffee for the month will be dispatched as soon as possible after your subscription renews.
NOTE: If you subscribe before 01/02/26 then your renewal date will be manually adjusted to first renew 01/03/26 and on the 1st of every month thereafter.
What coffees will i get?
It's a mystery, that's the point! We can only promise that each month's coffee will be different, be it through process, origin, varietal or a combination of things, and always sourced as traceably as possible so that we can give you maximum insight into where your beans are coming from.
What if I don't like a coffee?
Hard to imagine, I know, but not every coffee can suit every pallette. The whole concept behing Roaster's Choice is that we'll be challenging you to try something that you wouldn't otherwise have been able to.
So if one coffee doesn't suit you, we encourage you to stick with us. They won't all be whacky anaerobic fruit bombs, or super lightly roasted Geishas, some will just be really really good at being solid everyday brews!
Can I combine roaster's choice with any of your other subscriptions?
Absolutely! If you have any questions about consolidating subscriptions into single shipments, or adjusting billing dates to spread them out then you can either make changes through the subscription portal, or just email tom@fullspectrumcoffee.com
