Spring has sprung! Lambs are in the fields, flowers are poking their heads up in the garden, and a magical rabbit has brought you something tasty for you to brew!
This is Full Hopper 2.0, a collaboration with our good friends at Outset Coffee in Shrewsbury that aims to capture the experience of cracking open an easter egg on a spring Sunday morning!
Expect big, creamy, smooth chocolate notes, as well as sticky sweet caramel and slight orange tang, that really coats the mouth and makes for a really indulgent drink, both black and with milk. And probably better for you than scoffing a whole egg. Or perhaps you could have a brew WHILE you scoff a whole egg... we won't judge.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
From Falcon:
"This particular lot originates from a blend of bourbon, pacas and catimor varieties cultivated on the slopes of the famous Ilamatepec Volcano in Santa Ana. It is a blend of the farms that deliver coffee to the El Borbollon Mill. Processing on the farm follows the natural method, with coffee drying on raised beds for 18 days. The coffee is dry milled at El Borbollon. Seeking to enhance quality and diversify profiles, the Alvarez family planted this exceptional variety using seeds brought from Africa. The coffee was prepared following the high-quality standards of the El Borbollon mill, a family-run operation with over a century of experience in growing and exporting coffee. El Borbollon is renowned for its expertise in producing exemplary coffees, meeting the evolving requirements of buyers worldwide. This specific lot was carefully curated, combining daily microlots from Finca La Reforma SL28 to create a unique and high-quality offering."
You definitely get the cinnamon aroma whilst at both the grinding and brewing stage. No bitter aftertaste and the citrus really comes through. So good. Costa Rica next.
